It was a long, satisfying ride. We are really enjoying our weekends here. Exploring, laughing lots, making new friends and seeing the beautiful land. Then in the evenings coming back to our cozy little house where we lie around, read, listen to music and watch movies. Ahh…good times.

A Bike Ride to the Grocery Store
Today we made of list of the things we wanted to do on our last day off before another week of classes. At the top of the list was buy groceries. Trying to conserve cash we decided to ride bikes in place of taking the bus. I found an old bike missing a foot pedal, that I repaired, and Barb borrowed a bike from a friend.
It was another stormy day today, but not as wet as yesterday. We decided to go to a new town for groceries, south of us on the island. It was a 10km trek that took us through a couple charming villages and through a great beautiful forest.
It was fantastic. Biking through the pine forest with a view of the horizon dotted with windmills and a grand church to our left and farm fields that rolled toward the Baltic on our right. It was great. After we bought our groceries we found a 7ft high pile of potatoes in a field. They were fresh and dirty and I just couldn’t resist – I stole four potatoes. I hope you’ll all still be my friends.
